Delaware Project

The Delaware Project is the preservation of a long-vacant Fannie Mae foreclosure home in the Historic Meridian Park neighborhood (National Register of Historic Places).

The Delaware Project is the rehabilitation of a formerly vacant and foreclosed home in the Historic Meridian Park neighborhood.

The home was built in 1916 as part of Osgood’s 2nd Meridian Park Addition.  It is a traditional American Four Square home and features a large porch, a sunroom, a butler’s pantry, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and the historic charm found in many of the homes in the neighborhood.  The rehabilitation will include foundation and waterproofing work, repairs and painting of the exterior wood siding, updated energy-efficient windows, mechanical, and electrical systems, updated plumbing bathrooms and kitchen, and restoring of the original hardwood flooring and interior detailing.

The renovations began in December of 2011 and completed in June of 2012. The Farmers Bank provide the construction and mortgage financing.
